beforeUdig is the national service for utilities to protect their critical underground assets from accidental damage by contractors planning excavation works. The contractors are sent plans from the local utilitiy of any cables and pipes in the vicinity of their work site.
Our mission is to provide coverage for all the utility underground assets nationwide so we can assure our contractors that when they request plans from our service, they are being warned about all the potential risks they may encounter prior to them breaking ground.
In your district the beforeUdig service sends contractors plans for power, gas and telecommunication cables or pipes, but not your water pipes and channels as they are not currently listed with our national service.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to list your assets with us for free for an introductory six month period, so we can help protect them from accidental damage.
You will be notified of the contractor’s contact details and scope of works and be prompted to send them plans within 2 working days.
After the six month free trial, if you wish to continue, the service costs $5.25 + GST for each notification with a minimum monthly fee of $125 + GST for up to 25 notifications a month.
